Michael J. Moyer, C.P.M.
Michael J. Moyer, C.P.M., is president of M2 & Associates, Inc. and has been associated with Nahabit & Associates, Inc. since 1995.
Mr. Moyer retired from IBM in 1987 after 32 years in various assignments including sales, industrial engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and materials management. However, shortly after joining IBM, his career focused on procurement. In 1964, Mr. Moyer developed, instructed and staffed IBM's Purchasing School for New Buyers.
For more than 40 years, Mr. Moyer has been coaching, teaching and mentoring Purchasing Professionals, whether in a formal or informal setting. He has been a member of National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM) and its Affiliates since 1966. He has held nearly every office and chair available on a local affiliate bases, including the office of President and Director of National Affairs, TWICE.
He was recognized by the NAPM in 1983 and again in 1993 as the Professional Development Person of the Year. In 1985, Mike was selected to receive the most coveted award NAPM District II has to offer, the Cosgrove Award. Most recently, Mr. Moyer became a nominee for the 1999 J. Shipman Gold Medal, the highest award a professional purchasing person can achieve.
He serves industry as a educator, consultant, and public speaker. Mr. Moyer has also served as adjunct professor at several local universities and is a frequent speaker at business lunches, dinners, and seminars. He received his MBA from the University of Kentucky and his bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame.
