WHY THESE TWO SEMINARS?
Nahabit & Associates, Inc. has been providing purchasing seminars to the electronic inductry community since 1981. These two seminars Fundamentals of IC Technology and Semiconductor Manufacturing Economics meet a great need within the electronics industry. These two seminars are always offered back to back in two consective days as many of our customers find it convenient to pick one or the other, or as most do, attend both.

We believe that any Buyer that is involved in the purchase of Integrated Circuits is involved in investing their company's money, as well as other assets, like engineering time and effort. We also believe that any buyer that is investing thousands of dollars in Integrated Circuits should understand that commodity from front to back, from IC foundry to circuit board.

These two seminars have been designed to be presented to Purchasing Professionals, from entry level Buyers to Purchasing Managers. Although our marketing is directed toward Purchasing, others have found this seminar to be of great benefit.

Fundamentals of IC Technology - A one day seminar, provides a comprehensive review of IC technology, from the basic operation of the building blocks of an IC, through an understandable explanation of the manufacturing processes that are used to produce standard, ASIC and custom ICs.

Semiconductor Manufacturing Economics - Another one day seminar, is provided to allow each seminar attendee to understand the major cost factors contributing to the manufacturing costs of ICs. If you want to understand the price, you must understand the costs. This seminar aids the seminar attendee in developing and understanding various cost models for IC product categories.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
In addition to Purchasing Professionals, these two seminars are also of great value to other non-technical personnel, such as component engineers, manufacturing support, quality, financial, management and administrative staff members. These two seminars are a must for anyone responsible for negotiating contracts for custom or semi-custom ICs.

WHY ATTEND BOTH SEMINARS?
Knowledge is Power. Having a broad knowledge of Integrated Circuits and its manufacturing processes, as well as the costs associated with ICs, leads to better understanding of your IC Supply Chain and gives the attendee the tools to understand, negotiate and select the right supplier to match your firm's needs.

INSTRUCTORS:
Mr. Jim Griffin and Mr. Richard Potter are our primary instructors for these two seminars.

A WORD ABOUT OUR MANUALS -
Each seminar has its own manual and have three things in common: 1) Easy to follow RELEVANT printed material, 2) The most complete and easy to understand GLOSSARY of applicable terms available to the industrial buyer, all spelled out in a clear, non-technical manner, and 3)An APPENDIX containing related, useful information of interest to the professional electronics purchaser. Most of our students would agree that the manuals alone (which are not for sale) are worth the price of the seminar.

No matter what the title, each Buyer, Purchasing Agent or Manager, is acting as an "Investment Manager" for their respective firms, investing millions of dollars per year. The skill and knowledge of these "Investment Managers" strongly influence the firm's productivity and profitability. Enlightened managements realize the importance of the Purchasing function and seek the most skilled and trained purchasing personnel available. Furthermore, they provide their Investment Managers continuing education to keep them razor sharp for today's ever changing technologies.

N.A.P.M. CREDITS
Both of these seminars are recognized by and registered with the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PURCHASING MANAGEMENT for 7 hours of continuing education, i.e., one (1) C.P.M. point for each seminar.

SEMINAR FEE INCLUDES:
