John T. Hazard, C.P.M.
Mr. John Hazard, C.P.M., is an educator, practitioner and consultant specializing in the
training of Purchasing Professionals. He started his material management career at Texas
Instruments and moved to Dell Computer when Dell was still in the start-up phase. John has a unique knowledge as a result of his wide range of experience, going from a large global firm to a very small company that had an exceptional growth rate, which became a large, very profitable and extremely high volume firm. He negotiated many multi-million dollar contracts at both firms.
His Purchasing and Planning ingenuity centered on new product development projects. His expertise's are in the areas of sheet metal, plastics, extrusions, electro-mechanical assemblies, hardware, cable assemblies and tooling. Because John elected to retire early, he gives us a valuable opportunity to share his up-to-date knowledge and experiences in a very unique manner.
John is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Finance.
John is a Certified Purchasing Manager. He is has been an active member of NAPM and ISM since 1988 and has held numerous offices including that of President and Director for National Affairs.
